Open banking notice — Tesni
Operator: Tubby Code Pty Ltd (trading as Tesni) · ABN: 32 653 747 329
Privacy contact: henry@laterletter.cool
Effective date: Draft as at 15 September 2026 (not yet in force — pending lawyer approval)
This short notice explains how Tesni handles bank connections. Read it together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
How bank connect works
Tesni lets adults connect bank accounts so we can show account masks/institution, posted transactions, and balances in your household budget view.
Bank connection uses Basiq Consent. Basiq is an Australian open-banking intermediary.
Tesni is not claiming to be a Consumer Data Right (CDR) accredited data recipient. Consent and data access for connected banks are provided through Basiq’s flow and arrangements — not because Tesni holds ADR accreditation.
What we receive
When you connect (and while consent remains active as designed):
- Bank connection metadata
- Institution and account mask information
- Posted transactions
- Balances
See the Privacy Policy for the full list of data Tesni may hold.
If you remove a bank connection
Tesni will:
- Delete the Basiq connection and related links.
- Clear balances if no remaining links apply.
- Keep bank account rows and imported transactions already stored in Tesni.
Disconnecting does not wipe your historical transaction history from Tesni.
What Tesni is not
- Not a bank
- Not a holder of your deposits
- Not financial advice
- Not an AFSL product-advice service
- Not a CDR accredited data recipient
Your choices
- Review Basiq’s consent screens carefully before connecting.
- Remove a bank connection in-product when you want to stop ongoing sync via that connection.
- Delete uploads or chat threads where those controls exist.
- Ask for further deletion or privacy help at henry@laterletter.cool — full account erasure may not yet be complete in-product.
